Coming to the topic – Donating blood and plasma. Donating anything is an ideal thought. Especially if it is something that saves others’ lives, like Blood donation or Plasma donation, do you know three lives can be saved by one blood donation? Did you know that donating blood is a quick and easy process? Yet, with 1.2 billion eligible donors in India, there is a shortage of 25% of total blood units every year.
According to the WHO, India runs short of two million blood units every year, despite our vast population. An adult has ten blood units in their body, and only one unit is given during a donation. If you want to be a healthy donor, you need to know that every 56 days, one can donate red blood cells, and every 112 days you can double your red cells. You will be able to recharge the contributed quantity in no time.
